Valentine’s Day Makeup Products

February 14 is only a few days away! And whether you’re celebrating Valentine’s Day or Galentine’s Day, it’s always fun to get a little dressed up.

Now I’m someone who loves wearing makeup, and I get a lot of questions about what products I use, so I’m here to share everything I’m wearing in this Valentine’s Day look.

Face:

Before I apply any makeup, I always start with this Too Faced Primer. Personally, it took me awhile to get on board with primers – they seemed a little unnecessary and excessive. But let me tell you, after trying this primer I can never go back. It really hydrates and smooths out your skin so your makeup goes on evenly. Also, for those of us with busy schedules, it sets your makeup and makes it last all day so you can go to work at 7AM and still look flawless when you show up to happy hour at 6PM.

Now for foundation: I used the NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation as a base and then added the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer under my eyes for a little extra coverage. I have really sensitive skin and I’ve found that NARS products feel really light on my face and don’t make me break out like some other brands.

For my cheeks, I used Bellápierre Mineral Blush in “Autumn Glow.” I have never been a naturally tan person (as you can clearly see) so getting a blush shade that works for me is very important. Because my skin is so light, blush can come across as really intense. I love this blush because it really gives me a natural, rosy glow without overwhelming my fair skin. I applied it with the Becca One Perfecting Brush which is SO soft and fun to use.

Eyes:

Alright so anyone who knows me has heard me talk about this Lorac “Unzipped Gold” Eyeshadow Palette because I am absolutely obsessed. First of all, it comes with the MOST amazing eyeshadow primer – I swear my eyeshadow never creases since I started using it. Plus, the shades in this palette are so soft and pretty. Whenever I buy an eyeshadow palette I feel like I only use the bronzy/gold shades and ignore the other colors so this gold palette is the perfect solution. In this look, I am wearing “unpredictable” on my eyelids, “unedited” in the crease, and “unlocked” under my brow. I chose these colors because they have pink undertones and it felt perfect for a Valentine’s Day look.

For eyeliner, I’m wearing Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in “Trooper Black.” The first day I tried Kat Von D’s ink liner I knew it would be my go-to. It’s so easy to apply and does not budge once it’s on. For mascara, I used M·A·C In Extreme Dimension 3D Mascara. This mascara is a little intense so it’s definitely not something I use everyday, but it’s perfect when you really want your lashes to pop for a special occasion.

Lips:

I love a red lipstick but I do not love worrying that it could be on my teeth or on my face. That’s why I tend to go for liquid lipsticks or lip stains instead. Here I’m wearing Ciaté Liquid Velvet Lipstick in the shade “Diva.” As soon as you apply, it dries and sets so you can make it through the night without worrying about it smudging or budging.

So that’s the full look – feel free to reach out with any questions or if you want more tips on how to apply any of these products! Whatever your plans are this week, I hope you have fun and treat yourself to some chocolate and champagne!
