10 Best Beauty Products for Traveling

Today I leave for my 10-day getaway to Europe! As I was going through the packing process, I decided I want to share some of my go-to beauty products that I love to bring with me when I travel. Whenever I travel in planes, my skin tends to get really dry and dehydrated. Plus, the stress and exhaustion of travel can definitely take a toll in how you look and feel. No one wants to over-pack and load up their suitcase with unnecessary items, so products that are multi-purpose are key. When sitting down to write this, I really thought to myself “If I could only bring 10 products with me on this trip, what would they be?” and this is what I came up with:

1. Tarte: Fresh Eyes Maracuja Eye Makeup Remover Wipes

We all know traveling on planes can be uncomfortable, and it’s nearly impossible to wash your face in those tiny sinks! That’s where makeup wipes come in. Whether you want to remove makeup or just refresh your face, makeup wipes are crucial for long travel days. Recently I discovered these makeup wipes from Tarte Cosmetics and they are my favorite that I’ve tried yet. They are excellent at removing eye makeup while still being gentle on lashes, and they smell amazing which I never even realized was something I wanted in a makeup wipe but it’s definitely a bonus! Plus they contain ingredients like maracuja and grapeseed oil which will provide benefits for your skin.

2. Origins: Original Skin Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay

I know what you’re thinking: I don’t have time to do a face mask when I travel! The great thing about this one, though, is that it’s super low-maintenance. You can wear it for as few as 10 minutes, and then when you’re ready to take it off, add a little water and it turns into a facial scrub. This helps me scrub off any dry skin and leaves my skin feeling soft and refreshed after long travel days.

3. Laneige: Water Sleeping Mask

This product is a life-saver for re-hydrating the skin on your face after a long flight. This lotion is sooo hydrating it feels like a glass of water for your skin! I actually use this mask 2-3 times a week at home because I just love how I can feel my skin soaking up the moisture and my face always looks so revived on the mornings after I use it. When I travel, I’ll use it for two or three nights straight after the plane ride to make sure my skin is back to being soft and hydrated.

4. Too Faced: Hangover Replenishing Face Primer

After hydrating overnight with my sleeping mask, the next morning I’ll use this primer which happens to be my favorite that I’ve ever tried. I love this primer for two reasons. First, it’s super nourishing and hydrating so it helps with avoiding dry skin from traveling. Second, it is extremely crucial in helping my makeup last all day. When I travel, I’m usually out all day so I don’t have time to touch up my makeup, and especially when I’m traveling somewhere warm, my makeup could be wearing off by mid-day. This primer makes a world of difference in ensuring my makeup is set all day and will still be there when I head to dinner at night time!

5. Clinique: Pep-Start Eye Cream

Traveling can be extremely exhausting, and the circles under my eyes get that much more noticeable when I haven’t slept enough. This eye treatment is great for helping with that. I put it on in the morning (along with my primer) before putting on my makeup. It instantly helps brighten my eye area and helps me look more awake and refreshed.

6. Tarte: Amazonian Clay BB Tinted Moisturizer

Being on vacation can be extremely fun, but it can also be uncomfortable when you’re out and about all day. To make myself as comfortable as possible, I try not to wear too much heavy makeup. This tinted moisturizer is perfect for some light coverage without feeling or looking heavy. Bonus: it has SPF 20 so it will help protect your skin while you’re out seeing the sights!

7. NARS: Radiant Creamy Concealer

The clinique eye treatment mentioned above definitely helps to brighten the eye area, but I still like to add some concealer for extra coverage. This concealer is my favorite that I’ve ever used. It has amazing coverage, and is super portable so you can throw it in your bag and touch up as the day goes on. I use it under my eyes, and on any breakouts that I may have (which unfortunately are more likely to pop up when I’m traveling).

8. Laqa & Co: B’lighter

So this product is pretty much exactly what it sounds like: a blush and a highlighter all in one! When I’m trying to pack light, I’m all about products that are multi-functional. Not only does this take care of both a blush and a highlighter, but it’s a creamy texture that you can easily apply with your finger so no need to pack a brush! I have the color “peacher’s daughter” which is a really pretty peachy pink color. I just love how this product is so quick and easy to use and adds the perfect pink, dewey glow to the cheeks.

9. Fresh: Sugar Lip Treatment

This lip product is absolutely perfect for traveling because it’s a three-in-one. It moisturizes your lips like a lip balm, it adds color like a lipstick, and it has SPF to protect your lips from the sun while you’re out all day! I know I’m always trying to cut down on how many products I pack when I travel in an effort to pack light, so this products is one of my favorites to throw in my bag.

10. Amika: Perk Up Dry Shampoo

When I go on vacation, I definitely don’t want to waste too much time doing my hair every morning. That’s why I like to style my hair once and have it last for the next few days. In order to do this, I need a good dry shampoo. This one is my favorite that I’ve tried. It’s amazing at getting grease out of your hair and adding volume so you feel clean and refreshed. It also doesn’t leave white residue at your scalp like some other ones I’ve tried. Plus, it comes in a travel-size so it’s perfect to throw in your bag and use as the day goes on!

BONUS: Lavanila: The Healthy Deodorant

So I tried to limit myself to 10 products but I felt like I had one more that I just had to share. I’ve been trying a lot of different aluminum-free deodorants lately with mixed results. Some of them I have liked more than others, and this Lavanila one has stood out as one of my favorites so I wanted to share. It comes in a few different scents that I really like but I’m currently using the vanilla lavender scent. One thing I’ve found with all natural deodorants is that they they seem to wear off by mid-day, but the travel size of this product is perfect because I can throw it in my purse and re-apply as needed. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for an aluminum-free alternative!

So those are some of my favorite beauty products to bring with me when I travel. Comment below if you think I missed anything!
