Top 10 Purchases Of January

  1. Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara – I know I’m a little late to the game on trying this mascara, but now I finally see what all the hype is about! This really is a great go-to mascara that gives you length and volume without the clumps.
  2. Converse All Star Lift Sneakers – I’ve been wanting these shoes since last July when they were part of the Nordstrom anniversary sale, but they sold out of my size on the first day! When I finally saw them back in stock, I knew I had to get them. The platform sole gives a little height for the perfect update to these classic shoes. I’ve been wearing them nonstop since I got them! If you’re between sizes, size down as they do run a little big.
  3. Laneige Eye Sleeping Mask – One insecurity I’ve always had is the dark circles under my eyes – they can get pretty bad! I’ve talked before about how much I love the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask, so I decided to give their eye mask a try and I am so glad I did! Most overnight eye serums come in a tiny bottle and I go through them in about a week. This product is a really good size that I know will last me months. It is super hydrating, and I have definitely noticed a difference when I use it every night. My dark circles are less prominent and I wake up looking more awake and ready to take on the day!
  4. Native Deodorant – So technically this isn’t the first month that I’ve bought this, but I re-stocked this month so I figured it could make the cut! I think by now we’ve all heard of the dangers of using deodorant with aluminum in it, but I’ve tried a lot of natural deodorants that didn’t work. Then I found Native. I absolutely lovee the coconut vanilla scent, it smells so good and I love that I don’t have to worry about what I’m putting on my body! Plus you can sign up to have it automatically shipped to you every couple months so you don’t have to worry about going to the store to buy more.
  5. Franco Sarto Sandals – I had these sandals last summer and ended up wearing them almost every day because they were soo comfortable and went with everything! Since I wore them so much last summer, they were in pretty rough shape so this year when I found them back in stock I knew I had to buy them again!
  6. Kenra Detox & Deflect Shampoo & Conditioner – I had been using Moroccan Oil shampoo & conditioner for about 6 months and as much as I loved it, I felt like it was time to change it up. I kept hearing about this detox and deflect shampoo and the part about protecting against pollutants really spoke to me since I’m a city girl! After a few weeks of using it, my hair feels soo healthy and shiny! I’ll be honest, I don’t love the smell lol but I really love how it makes my hair look and feel so I’m happy with it for now!
  7. Cuisinart Mini Food Processor – This is a little different than my typical clothing/beauty recommendations but I had to include it because this little kitchen tool has seriously changed my cooking game! I love trying new recipes but so many times I would be looking at one and it calls for a food processor so I would have to pass it by. Finally, I made the investment and it has been soo helpful for making soups, dressings, or for chopping veggies! This one is a mini size so it’s perfect for my small NYC kitchen.
  8. Tanceuticals Self Tanning Body Lotion – We are reaching that time of the year where my skin hasn’t seen the sun in 6 months and I am in desperate need of some color. I’ve never once used a tanning bed, and spray tans can get pricey, so tanning lotions are the way to go! This is one of the first tanning lotions I’ve used where I actually like the smell! I bought the body lotion and face lotion in dark, and use it 1-2 times a week to add a subtle tan to my skin. I was hesitant the face lotion would make me break out, but it hasn’t at all and has actually been super hydrating for my skin!
  9. BareMinerals Oil Obsessed Total Cleansing Oil – I am always looking for a cleanser that will completely remove my makeup, including mascara. I hate using makeup wipes because I feel like I’m always pulling out my eyelashes trying to get my mascara off. This cleansing oil is amazing because it is soo gentle on your eyelashes but seriously melts all the makeup away! I know putting oil on your face may sound scary, but I haven’t had any breakouts from it and the lavender scent is super calming for a bedtime routine.
  10. Anastasia Perfect Brow Pencil – I feel pretty confident in my full makeup routine except when it comes to eyebrows. For some reason, the whole process of doing my eyebrows intimidates me. I think it’s because I have fair skin and dark hair so I’m always worried I’m going to make them look way too dark lol! This brow pencil is perfect because it makes the process super simple: one side is a pencil to fill in my brows, and the other is a brush to set them in place. It’s the perfect tool for someone looking to add a brow step to their makeup routine!
